The Lakers beat the Utah Jazz in tonight's game, and the Sixers were losing by at least 30 points to the Toronto Raptors.  In a real laugher, the Toronto Raptors defeated the Sixers soundly by 15 points.

Hey Arsalan, how about them Rockets? ;)  heheheh, they are now 5 games in back of the 8 seed (minnesota) with 7 games to go.  For all intensive purposes its over.  :D

The race is very exciting in the west between the jazz, lakers, blazers, mavericks, and kings.  they all are seprarated by 2 games.  The thing is, the Lakers could move into the 2nd seed, because the kings (currently the 2nd seed and have a 2 game lead over the lakers in the loss department) face utah and portland next, and then in upcoming games san antonio, phoenix, dallas.  The lakers have an easier time going up against chicago and boston next.  So its really an exciting time to see what transpires.

I guess its sad that Philly lost so bad yesterday, but it looks like they are going to win the eastern conference, Milwaukee is too far away.  So an early congratulations on Philly having the best record in the east. :)

Did you hear about the guy that works in the locker room (the owner's brother) was caught taking money out of Allen Iverson's pants.  So they had to fire him.

As I came in to work today I heard on the news that Phil Jackson said that Michael Jordan is practicing a little too hard with the Washington Bullets, and that he doesn't think he is trying to lose weight.  He says he knows Jordan really well and that Jordan wants to come back to basketball, provided his game is as good as when he left the game.  He said once that happens then Jordan will be back, and Phil said he wouldn't want to coach against Jordan.

Portland lost yesterday to the Minnesota T-wolves, and are now only half a game ahead of Phoenix for the 7th spot in the playoffs.  That would be cool if Portland dropped all the way to the 8th seed and played San Antonio in the 1st round.  :)

Its pretty nerve racking watching what's going on in the Western conference.  The race between the 2nd through 7th seeds is very tight with only 6 or 7 games to go.

For you Sixers fans out there, Philly won yesterday.

The Lakers have moved into 1st place of their division and it looks like they have clinched the division title!!!  Portland has dropped down to the number 7 seed.

Unfortunately it looks like the Lakers will be playing Portland in the opening round of the playoffs!  :(

This is unbelievable, the way the Lakers have stormed back to take control of their division and now are in a good position to defend their title.

Today was a special day!

It was a very emotional day for me, and for all the fans of Hakeem Olajuwon!

Today may have been the last game that Olajuwon ever played in.  It may have been the last game of his as a Houston Rocket.  If so, he'll be sorely missed ...

Houston beat the Timberwolves by almost 30 points!  Check out the Game Recap on ESPN, and the articles on the following web site of the Houstone newspaper:

I hope he stays around ... He's still got (plenty of) game!

Wassalamu alaikum.
