| [slm] For over 9 months now (eek!), the Madinans have been learning Qur'anic words which have a high frequency of occurrance in the Qur'an. Every 3 months or so, we try to have a quiz just to get everyone motivated to learn the words. So far, we've had 2 quizzes. The 3rd one will be on April 14th, insha Allah - next Saturday! Many of the words are very easy, words that you may know already (like Ajr, Allah, Jahannam, Jannah) but there are many that are not commonly known (ex. Junaah, Ibtighaa, Aakhareena vs. Aakhireena). Who knows, maybe these Quran words/verses will come in handy during your interview :-) Although I have not participated in the past, due to someone *cough* lion *cough* making a comment about the inelegibility of native arabic speakers [:-)], I will join in this time in the spirit of participation, insha'Allah, at the risk public embaressment -my memorization abilities are not that good, neither is my vocabulary! | Assalaamu alaikum, It is kinda harder than the quiz by se7en. Someone who has studied the words should have few problems though. But again the bonus will kill!! Man, there are so many things I don't know off head and I have to look them up :( Anyway, good quiz Arsalan. Jazak Allahu khairan. Wasalaam. |

| [slm] Yup the bonus' were tough. So were the questions...maybe I didn't study enough :( Did you notice it's always harder to translate from english to arabic than from arabic to english! |
