| This is for all of you : The Gateway. The gateway opened in front of me So wide that I could see everything that was inside. The choice was given to me – Step inside, or the gateway will be closed for the day. What lay on the other side? Anguish, Pain, Neglection, Embarrassment.. I shook my head and turned away. This side was easier – here my friends had names like Pleasure, Fun, Freedom and Vitality .... but something brought me back. Once again I stood in front of the gateway. It was opened once more so that I could see what was in there. Today the view was mistier... Pain was fuzzier, Anguish further away Neglection and Embarrassment were still there, although they didn’t seem as important. But still I couldn’t do it, and the gateway closed again.. The third time I came back to stand in front of that gateway something had changed. The sun was shining brighter on the other side, different ones came out to greet me. Warmth, Protection, Security and Love. They reached out for my hands to draw me inside. I looked over their shoulders to see if the others were still there.. Far away in the distance I could see Neglection and Embarrassment scuffing their toes and looking as though this day was their last. I couldn’t find Pain and Anguish anywhere. I took the hands of my new friends and stepped inside the gateway. A loud bang behind me indicated that the gate had closed forever.
