| asalaam alaikum friends - i received the following in an email. if you agree, please sign. AMCSC (AMERICAN MUSLIM COUNCIL The SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CHAPTER) A petition is being circulated to President Bush to ask that the US Embassy not be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, thereby recognizing Jerusalem as a the capital of Israel. Jerusalem is currently not recognized as such by the UN or international law and is a major point of conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. Moving the US embassy to Jerusalem would ignore both parties' claims to the city and would only serve to fuel tension between the two sides.
