Wish me luck? lol

1. On the great day when mankind will be suffering distress and hardship, the sun will be brought near to mankind, until the distance between them is equal to the length of the stick used for appyling kohl to the eyes, and all people will sweat according to their deeds, except for some of the believers, whom Allah will single out to shade them with His shade, and He will protect them from the sun and from sweating.

2. 7

3. The just ruler, a young man who grows up worshipping his Lord, a man whose heart is attached to the Mosque, two men who love one another for the sake of Allah and meet and part on that basis, a man who is called by a woman of rank and beauty and says 'I fear Allah',a man who gives in charity and conceals it to such an extent that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives, and a man who remembers Allah when he is alone, and his eyes are filled up.

salaam,

Ok Regis, I was thinking about this question, and I said I can do it, so here goes.

1. The hadith mentioned below basically answers all 3 questions: 7 people will be shaded by Allah under His shade on the day when there will be no shade except His.  This refers to the day of Resurrection.

2. 7 will be shaded

3. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "Seven people will be shaded by Allah under His shade on the day when there will be no shade except His. They are:

(1) a just ruler;

(2) a young man who has been brought up in the worship of Allah, (i.e. worship Allah (Alone) sincerely from his childhood),

(3) a man whose heart is attached to the mosque (who offers the five compulsory congregational prayers in the mosque);

(4) two persons who love each other only for Allah's sake and they meet and part in Allah's cause only;

(5) a man who refuses the call of a charming woman of noble birth for an illegal sexual intercourse with her and says: I am afraid of Allah;

(6) a person who practices charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given (i.e. nobody knows how much he has given in charity).

(7) a person who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes get flooded with tears."

Assalmu Alaikum

Alhamdulillah I remember this question from the Siena jeopardy (how long ago was that by the way ?? ). I think these were the answers:

1. This will occur on the Day of Judgement.
2. There will be seven who will get the shade of Allah.
3. They are:

1. A just ruler.
2. A youth who grew up in the worship of Allah.
3. The one whose heart is attached to the mosques.
4. Two men who love each other for the sake of Allah (meeting and parting for that reason).
5. The man who is invited by a beautiful woman of distinction but says "I fear Allah".
6. A man who gives in charity and hides it (so that his left hand does not know about what his right hand did)
7. A man who remembered Allah in private and sheds tears.

Assalamu Alaikum May Allah accept this effort and if anything in this humble effort is successful and of any benefit, then, to quote Malik El-Shabazz, "all the credit is due to Allah, and only the mistakes have been mine."

Assalam-u-Alaikum Warahmatullahi wa barakatuhhu,

The following is in reference to Question #1 of the "Who Wants to Be a Mu'min?" game:

It is narrated in Sahih Al-Bukhari, known to be the most authentic book after the Qur'an, the following:

Narrated Abu Huraira (RA):

   The Prophet said, "Allah will give shade, to seven, on the Day when there will be no shade but His. (These seven persons are) a just ruler, a youth who has been brought up in the worship of Allah (i.e. worships Allah sincerely from childhood), a man whose heart is attached to the mosques (i.e. to pray the compulsory prayers in the mosque in congregation), two persons who love each other only for Allah's sake and they meet and part in Allah's
   cause only, a man who refuses the call of a charming woman of noble birth for illicit intercourse with her and says:
   I am afraid of Allah, a man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right
   hand has given (i.e. nobody knows how much he has given in charity), and a person who remembers Allah in
   seclusion and his eyes are then flooded with tears."

And in Sahih Muslim:

Abu Huraira (RA) reported that the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) had said: Seven are (the persons) whom
   Allah would give protection with His Shade on the Day when there would be no shade but that of Him (i. e. on the
   Day of Judgment, and they are): a just ruler, a youth who grew up with the worship of Allah; a person whose
   heart is attached to the mosques; two persons who love and meet each other and depart from each other for the
   sake of Allah; a man whom a beautiful woman of high rank seduces (for illicit relation), but he (rejects this offer by
   saying):" I fear Allah" ; a person who gives charity and conceals it (to such an extent) that the right hand does not
   know what the left has given: and a person who remembered Allah in privacy and his eyes shed tears.

With this in mind, I attempt to answer your questions:

1a. When will this occur?
    This will occur on the Day Of Judgement.

1b. There are seven persons who will have the Shade of Allah (AWJ).

1c.  The seven persons are as follows:

(1) A just ruler;

         (2) A young man who has been brought up in the worship of Allah, (i.e.worships Allah (AWJ) (Alone) sincerely from his childhood),

         (3) A man whose heart is attached to the mosque (who offers the five compulsory congregational prayers in the mosque);

         (4) two persons who love each other only for Allah's sake and they meet and part in Allah's cause only;

         (5) A man who refuses the call of a charming woman of noble birth for an illegal sexual intercourse with her and says: I am afraid of Allah;

         (6) A person who practices charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given (i.e. nobody knows how much he has given in charity).

         (7) A person who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes get flooded with tears."
