Hello Iranna,

You like reading huh? So do I! There's nothing more relaxing than a good book on a cold winter night. And nothing like a good book for relaxing out in the park or your back yard on a cool summer afternoon. :)

My tope five are:

1. Even Angles ask-- Lang
2. Strugling to surrender--Lang
2. Towards Understanding Islam--Mawdudi

Oh wait. What religion? Any religion? Or Islam?

Well, if it's any religion there's this one book that was pretty good about Buddah that I read about a year ago. I will have to think about who wrote it and the title of the book. Let me know what you mean and then i will finish my list

Later,
Saleema

Sr Saleema I'm reading Struggling to Surrender now, inshallah I'll post a review when I'm done.  It's a good book so far.

Ok my top five:

1) Autobiography of Malcolm X
2) History of God by Karen Armstrong
3) The World's Religions by Huston Smith
4) American Jihad by Steven Barboza
5) The Incoherence of the Philosophers by Al-Ghazali (abridged version, can't find the whole thing)

Rashid, I know someone who read history of god and said it was sooooooooooo good.
Saleema, I don't mind  if they're islam books i just assumed people have read other types...

p.s. books are the best on cold days, rainy days, sunny days...ok i sound like dork :)

3) The World's Religions by Huston Smith

Yeah that's a good book! I don't like the guy that much though. I guess I get offended too quickly. I should keep in mind that they are non-Muslim after all. I watched a video about him where he was commenting on Islam and says that the Angel Gabreil came to Muhammad (S) and told him to "write!" and Muhammad (S) replied that "I cannot write." And then the angel repeated "write!" two more times and then Muhammad (S) picked up a pen and started writing!

I was shocked! Of course I told the whole class that that's totally wrong and explained the right thing to them. Can you beleive that? I mean this person is supposed to be a scholar!

And oh Iranna I will post my top 5 sometime later.

The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran
It's more about life...
One of my favorites
