Cow Stories

if anyone has any cow stories then here is the thread to post them. I wanted to post this one but I wasn't sure where.

Anyway, some of the Brits may have seen a report on Sky News about a little calf called Phoenix. She is the last remaining survivor of a herd of cattle killed because of Foot and Mouth. They think she survived because she was tranquilised and the killers probably thought she was already dead and left her there. Four days later the  farmer goes up to the meadow to disinfect the carcasses (which hadn't been taken away yet) and found her wandering around all the dead cows. So he took her down to his shed and kept her there.
A couple of days later the gov. official guys came to kill her but the farmer's wife warded them off. The son is quoted as saying "it's jqst one calf, if we can't keep an eye on her in this shed then we can't be very clever". And they're feeding her out of a bottle. She is snow white and named Phoenix for obvious reasons.
So the officials backed off, not wanting to interfere with these cow lovers (sound familiar??) and went back to wherever they came from to receive further instructions.

These farmer (cow loving) people had a funny accent..Yorkshire..Liverpool..Albanyian???

hee hee
looking forward to reading more cow stories

ok it's not really a cow story, but that Raisin bran commercial, where the guy pours himself a bowl of cereal, and then there's no milk in his fridge...so he goes outside to milk a cow.  All I could think was "Breakfast in Albany" :)

Are you gonna tell him that's a boy cow?  LOL

LOL!!!!!!!!!1

Come to think of it there's a lot of ads with cows in them...
think of "milka"  ... "Why is the milka Cow lilac?"

or that butter ad in Britain
"we are lucky cows, we chew the cud hmm hmm (can't remember the words)
because we eat up all our greens, it makes our butter taste supreme..
ANCHOR..tastes supreme...ANCHOR...taste supreme"
For those of you who never saw it these cows are dancing and playing football, and it's not a cartoon!

AND..I was at a restaurant today at lunchtime and they had a *whole* cow on a skewer on a barbecue. I'm not joking. The size of the thing! I couldn't believe it. And they'd just saw a bit off if anyone wanted some!

so that's enough cow stories for now.....
more to come...

A whole cow!  whoa!  what a sight.

Laboogie:  it's ok, no need to get agitated.  Just make sure it's a regular cow and not a *boy* cow when you go to get breakfast milk!  LOL ;-)

To elenor,

I think the Yorkshire accent is the best and theres nothing wrong with cows, whereever they are. Sadly we haven't got many now in UK.

A life without cows and greenery would be so dull.

You city slicks by living in a concrete jungle is so tiresome and grey, trade it for life in the country any day.
