I saw in the astrolabe pictures catalog a lot of islamic cartoon videos, like stories for children and stuff.

wlm,

actually there are more and more these days. For example there is

Salaam's Journey I and II
Fatih
The JAR
Turkish one..forget the name

and others... the power of imagery is unbelievable... kids who watched salaam's journey once at 6 years old still remember all the details at 12!!

Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullah..

I know of 2 video tapes

1) Sultan Muhammad Al-Fatih
2) The boy and the King

Cool shows, mashaALlah.

It's available both in the US and UK. Just to share, for those who conduct study circles (yes, for teenagers/ adults too!)

If U'd like, U can have a sleep over, and watch a video (coz, it's about 3 hours). Then ask them to think of the wisdom and lessons that can be derived from the show, before they go to sleep. Or they can even take notes during the show.

(Might even want to have lateral thinking games slotted in the programme, and relate that to say.. teamwork, sacrifice, communication, da'wah etc etc etc and relate it again to the video)

Then, have a discussion the morning after, perhaps, U can prepare a list of questions for discussion, based on the video.

Maybe, this study circle has a theme say... on sacrifice, then, you might like to include a short tazkirah session (a few minutes) maybe after isha' prayers abt sacrifice, show the video, sleep, wake up for tahajjud, pray fajr, breaky and discussion etc....

Just a suggestion... but I'd recommend those 2 tapes, for the story has got loads of lessons, mashaAllah. :) But I prefer Sultan Muhammad Al-Fatih's production. And I think both of them are produced by the same production company...
