Assalam-u-Alaikum, What do you guys know about financial aid for Muslim students. I'm sure you know that the financial aid at universities has interest n stuff so does naybody know of any place to get Halal sources of income in the Karachi area whether it be loans from Islamic banks/scholarships/advice. Asalaamu Alaikum ;-) Ideally Muslims would pool together their surplus resources and thereby provide a source of wealth in which they could loan money to Muslim students. Br Uzer for those less well off in Pakistan, is it virtually impossible to get a decent education without taking a loan? |

These scholarships are being offered under a program to promote high technology. Conditions and application forms can be obtained from the Association of Muslim Scientists and Engineers (AMSE) by sending a message to amsefid@erols.com. [The AMSE is disseminating this information as a service to its members. It is not involved in the award or managment of these scholarships.] The Islamic Development Bank also has some funds for Muslim students overseas. The annual deadline for receiving nomination at CIC is 12:00 noon on September 30th and the schklarship recipient will be announced at CIC's annual Conference the following year.
