One needs lots of knowledge to interpret dreams. Even most speakers will refer you to someone else if you ask them about a dream.

Assalamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

I had a dream that I was in a room with large framed 8 foot portraits of all
the prophets that there have ever been, i was with a group of muslims, and we
moved towards the portrait of the prophet [pbuh] i put my palm flat of the
painting. I looked to my left, and saw a large group of people crowding around a
painting of a 'prophet' with one eye. I tried calling out to them, and telling them
he was not a prophet, but they wouldn't listen.
the strange thing is, the dream did not affect me much at the time. but now
whenever i think about it, i get a shiver down my spine. the dream spanned several
days, but i have left most of the details out. can s/o have it interpreted
please. jazakumAllahu-khairan.

Wassalam

Assalam-u-Alaikum,

Thought you might like to know this.

Ibn Seerin's Dictionary of Dreams is not only unauthentic, it is misleading and cannot be relied upon by sincere Muslims for guidance. It is of little more value to Muslims than the Oneirocritica, the most famous book of dream interpretation compiled by the 2nd Century CE pagan Greek soothsayer Artemidorus Daldianus.             This brief review has been extracted from the the introduction of Dream Interpretation According to the Qur'aan and Sunnah

                                                                          Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips

I had a dream that I had lodes of pet lions in my garden, and I caught a lioness and took it in my house and slit its throut and started skinning it to eat it, while I was skinning it the other lions from the garden were coming in and trying to eat it, so I was pushing them away. While I was skinning I stuck a bit of its meat in my mouth and it tast of battry acid. Then I remembered that lions are harram cause they are caniverus, so I throw out the carcus for the other lions to eat, then I woke up.

my only response to proudtobemuslim was that ibn seerin was a tabaain... the ones who saw the companions... and he gives his daleel in the beginning of the book for where he gets his interpretations... but anyways... allah hu alim... assalamulaikum

I had this dream this morning that I was making a left turn and there was a police man on a motorcycle two cars in front of me, and he was giving me dirty looks.  I was scared and thought he might give me a ticket. :(

salam all,

i put the post about the paintings. i asked a sheikh, but he did not really
know what the dream meant. does anybody? i had a dream about the prophet [peace be
upon him] and his sahaba, but I understood the significance.
the other dream was a lot more complicated. there were 2 tables, one for
muslims, the other for non muslims. they had a lot of food that looked good, but it
wasn't halal. the muslims were leaving our table and going to the non halal one.
i was trying to encourage the muslims, telling them the food's not great, but
its all we got O.K? in the end the paintings appeared [seemed to always have
been there], and the rest i described above. if s/o has had a dream about the
prophet [peace be upon him] please describe it.

Take Care,
Wassalam
