| Asalaamu Alaikum ;-) No "because" answers and no philosophy? What does that leave? ;-) Okay how about: Why are you a Muslim Allah [swt] guided me to Islam and without this guidance I know not where I would be. As an aside Br Rodwan there was a similar question asked in the Madrasa recently. Check it out at some point ;-) |

| Jazakum Allahu Khiran all; The one answer I really liked (thanks for the link brother Se7en) was from MuslimahCanadia. I know, my question was a bit on the "Serious" side, but I wanted to know what kind of "young" Muslims attend these messege boards that are being set up all around the web. | [slm] I'm about to be 22. Does that count as 'young' ;-D ? Well, I 'became' a Muslim because my mom converted when I was about 5. I AM a Muslim because I am completely convinced of its truth. My soul longs for it. When I stray from it I feel a suffocating weight on my heart, and when I return to it, I feel a coolness and peace I can't describe. I feel free when I know I am doing what is commanded of me. I know that I am one of the fortunate chosen by Allah, and I wouldn't turn my back on a gift from Him. I don't know if this is what you were asking, but it's how I feel about it. Assalamu Allaikum [wlm] |

| Wa Alykum As'slam ya gr160. I love you for the sake of Allah. Allahu Akbar. This is the kind of ansswer I was looking for. It was said: "He who does not havith, can not givith". In otherwords, anyone who did not experience the sweetness of Iman, will never know what it means to be a Muslim. Ibn Tymiah once said: "In this life (Dunya), there is a Jannah. Any one who did not enter it, will not enter the one that Allah promised for him." I am delighted to have known you. May Allah protect you, and keeps you on the straight path, the path to Jannah..!!!
