| Asalm walakum Whose heard that thing about coca cola? That if you turn it inside out and the wrong way around, it says no Mohammed no Makka? I personally can't see it, but I have met a lot of people who can. Any how whether it is real or not, I'm not drinking coke any more, cause it tastes rubbish, other colas produced by smaller companies taste better, and it is a large multination American company, oh yah, and I have personally seen a lot of there adverts where they make fun of Islam. Like that one where they show a Muslim African man doing sigdah behind a coke bin, and they said on the caption, "now he has found the real thing". Any how, what I am writing this about is Al Azhar produced a fatwah against people stating this, saying, "there are people who work for coke who might lose their jobs if no one buys coke any more". This is wrong cause if people decide to stop drinking coke they wont stop drink full stop, cause people drink because they are thirsty, so if people stop drinking coke for moral reasons they will start drinking some thing else. A locally produced drink for example. So if some jobs are lost others will be created, and due to the fact that big companies are more mechanised then smaller ones, a lot more jobs will be created then the ones lost. Hasn't all Azhar got any thing better to do then bail out a large multinational American company? How have they got time to produce fatwas defending Coke when they can't produce fatwas defending Allah's deen from the evils of the ruler of Egypt? |

| [slm] Jehad, where did you read about that "fatwa" from al-Azhar? How can you prove to me that the shuyookh at al-Azhar really made that fatwa? That it's not some rumor which is being spread by the enemies of Allah and the scholars of His Deen? |

| AA Saleema, I agree with you fully. Reminds me of the time when Qazi Hussain (JI Pakistan Amir) said he would boycott Coke. If we are talking about scruples, how about boycotting almost every single Pakistani corporation because of the corruption ? |

you can read it in a mirror backwards when it's in arabic but i agree it's like numerology etc and people who see stuff in vegtables etc |
