| asalm walakum Is the excuse of not having enough money to go huj applicable to people in the west. Most people here can offord to go other countries? |

| wlm, the requirement for hajj is once a lifetime. there are in fact *alot* of people who go to hajj from here every year.. from the US alone I read about 1000 people went to Hajj this year. the reason why one might not have gone yet is that they might be a student or still trying to save enough money to go. i don't see many rich people not going period. they go... how much benefit they get from it is something else. in fact, i see them going multiple times and sometimes wonder if it's a vacation for them? there's so much more there money could be used for -- all the starving muslims in the world for one... |
