| asalaam alaikum friends - im sure many of us are aware that the day of judgement is nearing us with the passage of each day, but heres a forward that makes you really think: how far are we really from the end of the world? and are we prepared for it? (somewhat redundant, but worth the read...) --------- The signs of the Day of Judgement are divided into two sections: 1. 'The minor signs', which began from the time of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) 2. 'The major signs', which will appear very close towards the Day of Judgement, and when last-moment repentance will not be accepted by Allah (SWT). MINOR SIGNS One of the first signs to appear was when the Prophet (SAW), with Allah's Will, spilt the moon in half. Some explanations suggest that the Angel Gabriel placed his wing in front of the moon and therefore gave a splitting appearance, and another explanation believes that the moon did actually split MAJOR SIGNS -Camels will no longer be used as a means of transport and people will ride on saddles that aren't saddles (cars?) -The distance on earth will become short (planes, trains, cars, etc.) -Horses will not be used in wars (nuclear weapons) -Muslims will defeat the Byzantines which will end with the conquest of Constantinople (Istanbul) -The Jews will gather again to live in Bilad Canaan -Very tall buildings will be built (skyscrapers?) -The disappearance of knowledge and the appearance of ignorance, with much killing (Columbine shootings?) -Adultery will become widespread, and the drinking of wine will become common ("red wine is good for the body" claim wine companies) -The number of men will decrease and the number of women will increase until there are 50 women to be looked after by one man -Islam will become worn out like clothes are, until no one will know what fasting, prayer, charity and rituals are -Allah (SWT) will send a disease to fornicators that will have no cure (AIDS?) -People will begin to believe in the stars and reject AL QADAR: the divine decree of destiny (astrology/zodiac followers) -Men will pass by people's graves and say: "Would that I were in his place" (existentialism?) -The Euphrates will uncover a mountain of gold for which people will fight over (the river of Alfurat that lies near Syria) -Two large groups of people will fight one another, and there will be many casualties; they will both be following the same religion (World War II?) -Approximately 30 DAJJALS will appear, each one claiming to be the messenger of Allah (SWT) -Earthquakes will increase -Time will pass quickly ("time flies" ) -Afflictions will appear -Wealth will increase (bill gates?) -Women will be wearing clothes but not wearing clothes (flimsy, see-through, scant outfits ie summer "fashion" ) -When a mother gives birth to her mistress (the daughter gives orders to her mother) THE PROPHET (saw) SAID: "IF MY UMMAH (PEOPLE) BEAR 15 TRAITS (QUALITIES), TRIBULATION WILL FOLLOW IT." (DAY OF JUDGEMENT) SOMEONE ASKED,"WHAT ARE THEY O MESSENGER OF ALLAH?" HE SAID: 1. When any gain is shared out only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor 2. When a trust becomes a means of making profit 3. When paying ZAKKAT becomes a burden 4. When a man obeys his wife and disobeys his mother 5. And treats his friend kindly whilst shunning his father 6. When voices are raised in the mosque 7. When the leader of a people is the worst of them 8. When people treat a man with respect because they fear some evil that he may do 9. When much wine is drunk; red wind or the earth swallow them, or to be transformed into animals." <<note from pakiprncess: i wonder what the other 6 are? they seem to be missing from the forward...>> IMRAN IBN HUSAYN SAID: "THE PROPHET (SAW) SAID, 'SOME PEOPLE OF THIS UMMAH WILL BE SWALLOWED BY THE EARTH, TRANSFORMED INTO ANIMALS, AND SOME WILL BE BOMBARDED WITH STONES'. ONE OF THE MUSLIMS ASKED, 'WHEN WILL THAT BE O MESSENGER OF ALLAH?' HE SAID, 'WHEN SINGERS AND MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS WILL BECOME POPULAR, AND MUCH WINE IS DRUNK.'" THE GREATER SIGNS OF THE HOUR -The Quran will disappear in one night,even from the people's hearts, and no Aayah will be left on earth. (Some groups of old people will be left who will say:"We heard our fathers saying LAILLAHA ILLA ALLAH" so we repeat it) -The appearance of the MAHDI -The appearance of the DAJJAL (Anti Christ) -The appearance of Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Biblical Gog and Magog) -Isa pbuh (Jesus) will come during the time of Dajjal -The rising of the sun from the west -The destruction of the Ka'ba and the recovery of its treasures -The smoke ********************************** |

| assalam alaikum, -Very tall buildings will be built (skyscrapers?) there's a lot of gossip in the emirates about which 'sheikh' has a bigger building (insecure?) -Earthquakes will increase statistical data suggests more earthquakes in the past decade then in history. insurance companies have paid out record amounts. i remember reading in sahih muslim some time ago a hadith which says that iraq will be sanctioned of wheat and wealth, then sham (syria) then misr (egypt or sudan) and then the ummah will be at war. may Allah grant us victory Insha'Allah. salam wa rahmat'Allah |
