| I have a question .. is veil required in Islam or is it ok just to wear scarf and cover hands (until wrists) and legs (until ankles) or do we need to cover everything head from toe.. ? JazakumAllah Kheir Ws MMohammad |

| broth this has been mentioned many times here. there is difference of opinune amoung the ulimah of the sunnah here. one opinune is they have to cover all but face and hands, and in public cover the whole body with a barrle shaped coat called jilbab. the other is that they are only allowed to show eyes. is you want more info about dalel and stuff, there are many threads about it all over the place. |

| True br jehad, This has been discussed many times here before. If you look in the Akhwat cafe looking at threads that have "hijab" in their titles you will find many. Suffice it to say there is ikhtilaf over hijab vs niqab vs jilbab. None of us are 'aalims here so please consult your local Imam inshallah :) wsalaam wrt |
