| I have dreams for you I have dreams for you, my child My dreams can be high and wild But when I first held you in my arms Your innocence filled me with charms. My heart is filled with lots of love Seeing you are from the Lord Above Allah has given you as a trust to me Who will pray for us like a good Muslim should be I pray you will grow up wise and caring And the beauty of Islam you are always sharing. I don't desire you to be the richest man here Or the most famous actor, or best paid professor But I want a pious child with love and taqwa Who is obedient to Allah and Rasulullah Be the sunshine and carry your smile along This little baby of mine will grow up strong Please grow up to be brave and true My child, I have dreams for you...... -Udiana Jamalludin |

...Sometimes... Sometimes, Children do become the richest, OtherTimes, Children do become the great prof, FewTimes, Children may even fill their OWN dreams. And I think, after re-reading this poem, I think: Ain't that a shame. EH? ~ HiMY! ~ |
