| From: info@fosis.org.uk Block Address Add to Address Book To: info@fosis.org.uk Subject: PhD studentship Date: Mon, 21 May 2001 12:43:25 +0100 Assalaamu 'Alaikum - POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH - BRITISH MUSLIM SOCIAL STATISTICS A PhD studentship is available to a suitably qualified candidate to work on the theme 'A statistical mapping of Muslims in Britain' commencing on 1st October 2001. It is anticipated that this pioneering work will include analysis of 2001 Census data from the religion question. The researcher will be supervised by Professor Tariq Modood, Director at the University of Bristol Research Centre for the Study of Ethnicity and Citizenship. Ideally the candidate should have a Masters degree. The project is jointly funded by the ESRC and The Muslim Council of Britain.
