Summer 2001 Arabic Classes SUMMER TERM: JUNE 23- AUGUST 25, 2001 Classical arabic taught by Bro. Muhibudeen Tepamose, B.A. (Arabic) M.Sc. (Arabic) and Bro. Nuriddin Ali (Two degrees in arabic/ islamic studies) Beginners 1 No previous knowledge of arabic required. Beginning reading and writing of arabic. Beginners 2a Beginning reading of arabic required. Basic vocabulary, more reading / writing of arabic, sentence construction and introduction to arabic grammar. Beginners 2b Continuation of Beginners 2 Intermediate 1 Ability to read arabic, some grammar backround. More intesive study of grammar, reading and writing skills. Intermediate 2 Emphasis on comprehension and compostional skills. Instruction in grammar and parts of a sentence. Intermediate 3 Reading, writing, emphasis on conversational content and more intensive grammar. *************** SOME RULES OF TAJWEED ARE TAUGHT IN EACH CLASS*********************** NEW CLASSES BEGINNING THIS SUMMER: TAJWEED, LEVEL 1 THE FIRST OF THREE LEVEL COURSE IN TAJWEED TO BE CONTINUED IN THE FALL , INSHA ALLAH. LEARN THE PROPER PRONUNCIATION OF THE HOLY QUR'AN : READING OF ARABIC IS REQUIRED FOR THIS COURSE. LOCATION: MASJID ABDUL MUHSI KHALIFAH, 120 MADISON ST.
