| asalaamu alaikum I just found out that Anthony Quinn died. I'm sure that we're familiar with the movie "The Message" in which he played Hamza radiallahu anhu. And i know that lots of people liked it and think it was wonderful, etc. But then i read the following paragraph, and just thought how appropriate it was for someone to play the part of one of Islam's heroes. I think its an immense insult to the Lion of Allah and Champion of our religion! "The other role for which he became famous was the unfaithful husband. He had at least 13 children by five women, three of whom he married, including Katherine de Mille, the adopted daughter of Cecil B de Mille. In 1994 he left his second wife, Iolanda Addolori, to live with his secretary, Kathy Benvin." Kashif Wa Salaam |

Granted, I will say I liked the movie, including Anthony Quinn, but indeed there is wisdom in not making portrayals of the Sahaba! [slm] |
