a couple of things ...

Bismillahir-rahmanir-raheem,
Assalamu 'alaikum,

I have been reading this board for the past few weeks and for the most part
found it interesting and beneficial.  However, I have been somewhat disappointed
with some of posts that I have read recently so, I just wanted to remind, first
and foremost, MYSELF and others on this board of a couple of things. I wish I
could site hadith and quran in this post, as quickly as some of you, masha-allah
:D but unfortunately, I still have much to learn so please forgive me if I say
something wrong.

1. We are accountable to Allah swt for everything we do and say and that
includes the posts on this message board. When we speak we should try to think about
whether there is benefit in doing so and that such speech will increase us in
good and *benefit* others as well. Sometimes two people will be saying the exact
same thing but just in the *way* they say it determines whether it will benefit
someone or not. Allah swt knows best.

2. Be patient with people who are struggling with this deen. The fact that they
are stuggling and the fact they are on this board asking muslims for advice is
a such a good hopeful sign.

Most of you masha-allah handle things **beautifully** and with great
sensitivity and wisdom. Mashaallah, may Allah swt reward you generously and I hope some
of that rubs of on me :)

But on some posts, there may be some knowledge, but the wisdom and sensitivity
required, to use this knowledge to advise others ... well, just think it
through before posting and try insha-allah to be in remembrance of Allah swt when you
do this.

I can't help but think of the time when I was not a practicing muslim at all.
The muslim friends I made, corrected me but mashaAllah, with love and kindness.
They would also try to find something positive in me so they they could
encourage me to build on it and alhamdulillah, I have come a long way, by the mercy of
Allah. I don't know how things would have been if did not have the patience
they had.

I hope insha-allah, I have not said anything wrong.

wassalamu alaikum wrt wbt.

Thanks for the reminder Anon. Here's another one I think we should read again by Muhammad al-Shareef. Click here
