[slm] contestants... you are 1 question closer to that million dollar mu'min question ;) This one was a little tricky. We all know that Bilal ra's footsteps were heard by the prophet [saw], but the question said SHE !! (and no it wasn't a typo!)

The answer was of course: [color=darkblue]

Anas ibn Malik reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: I entered Paradise and heard the noise of steps. I said: Who is it? They said: She is Ghumaisa, daughter of Milhan, the mother of Anas b. Malik. She was also known by her other names:Rumaysa and Umm Salaym.

I think, I've got to go for Khadija (ra), though... it might just be Rumaysa... but I don't think it's her footsteps, that the propet heard... it's Bilals...

No I need a lifeline, I'm prepared to risk it. I know it was one of the wives of the prophet but can't remember who. So take one of my lifes away..in return for the
answer.

hmmm interesting, well then, Ghumaisa bint Milhan is my final answer.

Anas ibn Malik narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) that he (the Prophet) said: I entered Paradise. There I heard a rustling sound
(of someone walking) I asked: Who is there? I was told: This is Ghumaisa, the daughter of Milhan, the mother of Anas bin Malik. (Hadith, Sahih Muslim)

I sent a Madina Message to the "admin" a week ago (I think) asking for a lifeline on Q. 8 (ask the audience). I understand that you won't be giving a lifeline until
tonight. I'm leaving for Colorado for a week in an hour insha Allah. Here's my request:

Can you accept my answer to be the answer that the majority of the audience has given? Since that is the answer that I would have given anyway, after receiving
my lifeline. So whatever most of the people gave as their answer, that'd be my answer for Q. 8 insha Allah. If this is unacceptable, it's ok, no problem insha Allah.
I'll live with a 9/10

and see it, but I thought of your ('Umar's) Ghira (and gave up the attempt)." 'Umar said, "Let my parents be sacrificed for you, O Allah's Apostle! How dare I think
of my Ghira (self-respect) being offended by you?

No doubt Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) knew the sincerity of Umm Sulaym’s faith, and conveyed the good news of Paradise to her via His Prophet (sallallahu
‘alayhi wa sallam):
“I entered Paradise, and heard footsteps.

I said, ‘Who is this?’ and they told me, ‘It is al-Ghumaysa’, the daughter of Milhan, the mother of Anas ibn Malik.’”

See Sahih Muslim, 16/11, Kitab fada’il al-Sahabah, bab fada’il Umm Sulaym.

I'd sent a message earlier but by mistake sent it to "jannah" instead Anyways..i'd know the answer to question no. 8 if only the word "his" were used instead
of "her" footsteps. So I'm really clueless as to who this fortunate muslimah is. Can you throw me a lifeline plllease, the one with the four options and two crosed

The answer is the following hadith:

Book 031, Number 6011: Sahih Muslim
Anas reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: I entered Paradise and heard the noise of steps. I said: Who is it? They said: She is Ghumaisa,
daughter of Milhan, the mother of Anas b. Malik.

She is also known as Rumaysa and Umm Salaym.
