[color=darkred] [slm] contestants... you are 1 question closer to that million dollar mu'min question ;) This one was a little tricky. We all know that Bilal ra's footsteps were heard by the prophet [saw], but the question said SHE !! (and no it wasn't a typo!) The answer was of course: [color=darkblue] Anas ibn Malik reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: I entered Paradise and heard the noise of steps. I said: Who is it? They said: She is Ghumaisa, daughter of Milhan, the mother of Anas b. Malik. She was also known by her other names:Rumaysa and Umm Salaym. |

I think, I've got to go for Khadija (ra), though... it might just be Rumaysa... but I don't think it's her footsteps, that the propet heard... it's Bilals... Ok, Ok... final answer... Khadijah, inshaALlah... *biting nails* Wa 'Alaikum Assalaam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh , Here is your 50/50: a.Wife of Lut b.Khadija bint Khuwaylid c.Ghumaisa bint Milhan d.Fatima bint Muhammad The answer is not A or D "... I dont know if you are still accepting answers! But here is it anyway. I would go with Ghumaisa bint Milhan. Wassalam 49:6 O ye who believe! Anas ibn Malik narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) that he (the Prophet) said: I entered Paradise. There I heard a rustling sound (of someone walking) I asked: Who is there? I was told: This is Ghumaisa, the daughter of Milhan, the mother of Anas bin Malik. (Hadith, Sahih Muslim) Abdul Basir's answer was: Ghumaisa bint Milhan [quote]id like to use an ask a friend for q8, abdul basir. her, hmmmm, i know the Prophet heard Bilal's footprints in paradise, but a her, don't recall. I understand that you won't be giving a lifeline until tonight. I'm leaving for Colorado for a week in an hour insha Allah. Here's my request: Can you accept my answer to be the answer that the majority of the audience has given? Since that is the answer that I would have given anyway, after receiving my lifeline. So whatever most of the people gave as their answer, that'd be my answer for Q. 8 insha Allah. If this is unacceptable, it's ok, no problem insha Allah. I'll live with a 9/10 Jazaak Allaahu Khairan. That's my final answer 25:70 Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for God will change the evil of such persons into good, and God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful, 25:71 And whoever repents and does good has truly turned to God with an (acceptable) conversion [color=green] Barr Answer to Q8 Date posted: 06/22/01 at 21:27:28 Assalamu'alaikum Ukhti... r Y sure it is a "she" not a "he"? coz, if it is a "she", I'd like to request for a 50/50, and if it is a "he", my answer would be... Who is Bilal? wallahua'lam Wait a minute... this is not Jeapordy, is it? Reference: Volume 5, Book 57, Number 28: Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah: The Prophet said, "I saw myself (in a dream) entering Paradise, and behold! I saw Ar-Rumaisa', Abu Talha's wife. I heard footsteps. I asked, Who is it? Somebody said, 'It is Bilal ' Then I saw a palace and a lady sitting in its courtyard. I asked, 'For whom is this palace?' Somebody replied, 'It is for 'Umar.' I intended to enter it and see it, but I thought of your ('Umar's) Ghira (and gave up the attempt)." 'Umar said, "Let my parents be sacrificed for you, O Allah's Apostle! How dare I think of my Ghira (self-respect) being offended by you? "... Wasalaam, Arshad http://get.to/islam [color=green] destined answer to question #8 Date posted: 06/14/01 at 14:39:08 Assalamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh No doubt Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) knew the sincerity of Umm Sulaym’s faith, and conveyed the good news of Paradise to her via His Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam): “I entered Paradise, and heard footsteps. I said, ‘Who is this?’ and they told me, ‘It is al-Ghumaysa’, the daughter of Milhan, the mother of Anas ibn Malik.’” See Sahih Muslim, 16/11, Kitab fada’il al-Sahabah, bab fada’il Umm Sulaym. So I'm really clueless as to who this fortunate muslimah is. Can you throw me a lifeline plllease, the one with the four options and two crosed out. Thank you! have a nice time at your retreat wassalam [color=green] Eqbal Q8 Date posted: 06/13/01 at 20:26:57 Assalam alaikum! I need a lifeline i guess, so I will use the audience answers this time! Also are you sure it is "her" and not "his" in the question? 49:6 O ye who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done.
