I am not sure I spelt it correctly.  Does anyone know how to make mluhia.  It is a green leafy vegatable, and made with chicken, served with rice.
Thanks

[slm]

do you mean mulukhaya?

no i dont know how to make it but i know you can get it frozen from the local halal meats, or even some middle eastern store.

I'm not very fond of the stuff either, it is a popular dish in Egypt. Too spinachy for me :)

That's funny, here in Morocco Molokhaya is ocra, also called I believe ladyfingers.  It has lots of seeds inside and some of them have kind of sharp hairs on the outside.  I like it with tomato sauce with lots and lots of garlic, cumin, parsley and coriander leaves, maybe olive oil.  Moroccan style in other words :)

Asalaamu alaikum:)

My egyptian husband loves Mulikhaia.  If you buy the froze chopped kind you prepare chicken soup base, with tonnes of garlic (like 10 or more cloves) and then just ad the Mulidhaia and bring to a boil.

This is a little snotty for me.  Once you cook it you will see what I mean, but if you put it on rice it is very good.

My husband likes his as soup.

YES - MULIKHAIA is what I was looking for.  Sorry if I butched the spelling.  I know where to get the frozen kind, but I don't want to try making it until I have some sort of suggestions to follow.  I would cook it with yellow rice.
Thanks for responding to my post.
