Assalamu 'alaikum! I don't know if this is the correct forum to post this question or not, but I was wondering of anyone knew the correct way of saying, "Allah knows best." I've had several discussions with friends, and they have all told me different things... "Wallahu ya'lam" "Allahu wa lam" "Wal-Llaahu ya lam" help ??? fee amanillah , ~Sabr :-) |

using our transliteration chart it's allahu a3lam the wa in front indicates 'and' aalim is a different term for a knowledgable person |

As salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh Akhee Kashif is correct, if we are using transliteration then the 3ayn is thus: Allaahu A3lam. A3lam actually means world, Allaahu Alim would mean Allaah is knower, and in this context Allaahu A3lam means Allaah knows better. And as Jannah stated, the wa in front simply is when people are usually continuing in a sentence they make a statement or reply and then say wa Allaahu A3lam, which is gramatically correct and not so abrupt since it flows with the sentence before. May Allaah bless you all. was salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh |
