| salam, ok sisters, i always tie n do my hair up in different ways, but i get bored of certain hairstyles very easily!!! i was wondering how u sisters tie up ur hair??? the normal stuff i do to my hair is, frech plats, plats, french rolls, buns, twists, and other weird stuff thats suitable to tie up n leave under my hijab!!!! so wat do u do??? wa-salam |

I have barely enough time to get my hair into a pony-tail :) And that's about all I do....ponytail, bun, or braid under my hijab :) I usually wait until a "fun function" before I break out the hairstyles and go crazy :) Have you tried hippy styles (half the hair in a small pony, and the rest hanging down? - it keeps the crown of your hair under contol, and the rest just gets covered by the tail of your hijab)? Or a fish-bone braid?...oh wait...maybe that is what a plat is...??? fee amanillah, ~Sabr |

| salam yea, i try alsorts, Even though i get late. That doesnt irriate me:) I don't really care if i'm late, but recently my hair keeps goin loose, so i am tryin different stuff!!! Neways, i am pritty fast at doin my hair, it doesnt take that long!!! It takes the same amount of time for me to do a bun and a pony tail!!! wa-salam |

| [slm] sisters *ahem* brothers i doubt u could contribute to this conversational thread so u may want to check out ;) this is a hairstyle that i thought was pretty cool lately for fashion shows and all... take all your hair and pull it back, twist section pieces to make corn row twists to the crown with miniature rose hairpins in it and then twisty hair at the top and the rest just falls naturally.. it looks really beautiful... if u have any friends that get those fashion magazines maybe you can glance through it to look for styles or when you get your hair cut at the place they usually have tons of books of nice pictures. But please don't read the articles in those magazines!!! They are pretty disgusting and unislamic... they'll make you think that you have to look like those airbrushed anorexic pre-teens and slowly a girl's self-worth is based on them. |
