| Assalamu alaykum Has anyone here participated in such a program? what have you thought of it? do you think it would be safe to have an address and some personal information that is bound to come up in the letter writing? Can you tell me what organizations have such a program? jazakum Allahu khairan wassalam |

| AA I've been in touch with one inmate for many years, sending him articles, buying him books, etc. I know that he finds it a really good thing. As far as info/safety is concerned, I give him my work address to write to. I think it's a good thing to do. Not sure if organizations do it, this guy just sent a letter to an Islamic newspaper which I responded to, and I've been in contact with him since then. |

| A.W.W. I'd be a bit reluctant to give my home address, I'd rather give a net one. And there are numerous orgnisations in the UK already send letters, dawah material, kitabs, food in ramzan etc. You could join that organistation and then from there you could send your dawah stuff. And what personal information would that be ?, all the literature is read throughly by the prison wardens and guards, who could use it for or against the inmate, or even worse, against you. Ack being in a cell with two guys called Jane and Kirsty would be my nightmare :(. Salaam Bro Hanif |

| Bismillah and salam, I distinctly remember reading a post by se7en about this right? Perhaps she can write out the address again. I've never done it so I can't give much advice. I think one she has mentioned they send the letters under their address. Male to male, female to female counterpart. |
