The angels belittled me: Oh a man he is!

The angels belittled me:
'Oh a man he is !'

The Mercy of Most Merciful crowned him
He asked for a few pieces of gold,
A handful of wealth was blessed upon him.

Always failing in His duty
Oh. A man he is!
Never losing hope in His Mercy
Oh. A man he is!

He boasted of the Lord's mercy on him,
Many were the favors given to him.
He moved his limbs to the rhythm of Lord,
His face shone in glorifying His Lord.

Everyone wondered what had happened to him
None realized what had come upon him.
He conversed with Lord in the late hours
Subhanallah! Al hamdu lillah!
His prayers were diverse!

Always failing in His duty
Oh. A man he is!
Never losing hope in His Mercy
Oh. A man he is!

But alas! His crown is no more,
His pride is no more,
His joyful tears are no more.

He has become a shame for his own conscience
He has masked his pain with silence
He began to drown without hope
None helped him with a rope!

Always failing in His duty
Oh. A man he is!

We worship the Lord day and night,
We're made from the purest of light
Was it for his race that we prostrated?
For the numerous sins they committed?

Always failing in His duty
Oh. A man he is!
Never losing hope in His Mercy
Oh. A man he is!

He continues to place his face on the ground,
He maintains that Lord's gift will again descend.
We, the creatures of light, are not devoid of understanding
But with us is not the piece of flesh inspiring!

The piece of flesh is his SECRET,
Everything we have but his HEART.
The love of Lord's Beloved is his confidence
Upon the Beloved, he sends blessings even in silence

Always failing in His duty
Oh. A man he is!
Never losing hope in His Mercy
Oh. A man he is!

The heavens and stars saw him dancing him with joy,
But only the Lord remained to see him cry!

Always failing in His duty
Oh. A man he is!
Never losing hope in His Mercy
Oh. A man he is!

Note: Angels asked God why he was going to create a race that would cause bloodshed on earth to which they God replied that 'He knew what they did not'. After creation of man, the angels were asked to prostrate before Adam.

The Holy Quran says:

Behold they Lord said tot angels; "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?" whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy Holy (name)?" He said, "I know what you know not".

And He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: "Tell Me the names of these if you are right."
They said "Glory to Thee: of knowledge we have non; save what Thou hast taught us; in truth it is Thou who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom."

He said: "O Adam! Tell them their names." When he had told them their names, Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth and I know what ye reveal and what ye conceal?"

And behold, We said to the angels "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down: Not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: He was of those who reject faith.

(Holy Quran 2:30,31,32,33,34)
