Bismillah and salam,
Hi I'm new but I just realized there is already an Amatullah! grrr! Do you guys think I should change the nick even though they are case sensitive or can you keep it straight?
hmmmmm if i had $100,000,000 in the Royal Bank of Canaduh...
those would be some of the things i still wouldn't get insha'Allah:

  Yacht
  A different husband
  fur coat
  Country Club membership
  Strange "exotic" animals
  Bodyguards
  Baroque furniture
  plastic surgery
  epilady

i might name a star after someone I love, buy an island, private jet, and lots of nutella and books.

what's your list?

Assalamu'alaikum, ukhti... :-)

What's wrong with Epilady? Any reviews... pls do share....

Oh yes! Naming a star costs only 50 pounds... don't need loads of cash to do that :)

I'd buy me a big house in the country, with a big swimming pool, and have lots of children and live there happily ever after.

hahaha I meant to write fun not funk but just as well :)
Epilady experience was a nightmare!!!! I am still too traumatized years later to talk about it :(
It would be nice to have an island or some land in the country and have it like a muslim commune, people living in motorhomes, boats, tents, shacks, building a musala together, and growing food. hahaha I sound like such a hippie but i'm not.

If I had alot of money I would start an Islamic Dawah Foundation which would use the money to employ people to do dawah through various means.. ie through the internet, writing books, building mosques and institutions, teaching others, etc.  I just need that US$1billion grant from Bill Gates...;)

Bismillah and salam,
Lisha erm...nothin wrong except for the cleanliness thing i guess :r They take the living naturally to an extreme. I met this nice lady who had bad teeth and she told me she used to be a hippie and thought everything was chemical and bad and she just thought our bodies have the natural ability to like self-clean. haha She sure was funny. Did you guys know Islam was to bring brushing teeth first? The prophet saws said he almost would have ordered us to do it with each prayer! A funny story I heard about miswaks, is before a ghazwa (opening of a new area), a spy form the enemies kuffar came to see how much weapons the Muslims have and he peed himself and ran back and he told them we better give up before they come because I saw them sharpening their teeth to eat us! wahahahah they were just brushing
Jannah masha'Allah ever so dedicated :) What are things you wouldn't get?

Bismillah and salam,
Yes Lisha No not weird at all!! Because I can't help but feel in islam we are supposed to be conscientious (spelling?) as well. I try to not use chemical stuff, or sprays, I would rather buy recyclable(ed), not tested, etc. It is often more expensive but sometimes I honestly just think I would rather do without than hurt others. I read this articles about the sweatshop and now I wish I know how to sew better (especially what the prophet said about the women who sew their own clothes for themselves and the family woooow) and I admire (well not so much the hippies here, because they often feel like appropriating other cultures in dress, go there get it super cheap and not really contribute, come back and sell it to other hippies) but like punk and other people who say they chose to have minimum and do it with own euro style. I wish more muslims really make these anti consumer choices, included me.
What can we do that will make a difference?? Do you sew? Do you have anti consumer day at the mosque anyone? any ideas?
