| Assalam u Alikum, I started working a year ago and I understand that I should give Zakat every year. What I dont understand is if its applicable on what I have in my account now or wahtever I earned throughout the year. Also,how does it work with mutual funds??I will really appreciate u guys' help. Ws'salam. |

| wlm, ma'shallah sister you should get someone at your local mosque to help you out on that.. they can help you add everything up and figure what you need to give, especially on those tricky things like mutual funds..jewlery etc. zakat is such a beautiful concept in Islam...you purify your wealth AND change the distribution of wealth in society. |
