| salam, i'm confused, its like i dunno what to wear to school. see, boys are wearing those silly flowered shirts, and baggy pants etc. and girls wear their regular short tops blah blah blah. i look like a cross dresser!! i wear baggy pants, checkered shirts, and i try to avoid flowered shirts, cuz people think i want to be a boy or somethin. sheesh, the fashion is really weird these days!! |

| Bismillah and salam I only started wearing hijab in North America and before that here I felt that for the most part I stuck out like a sore thumb. Even though it bothered me abit the harrassement and names and violent stuff which was also racism. But I didn't really care, because then the people whom I did become friends with were really kool. And I find the most sensitive and creative people are the ones who are a bit different or "weird". Just have your own style and know you will never please all the people. But I have to tell you from the bottom of my heart that hijab is a blessing is a blessing! |

| salam, people dont say anything about my hijab, but its just that i dress in baggy pants and long shirts, so it makes me look like i wanna be a boy :P ur not supposed to dress like guys rite, but what can we do when the guys dress like girls? lol <b>wen i wore a hijab, i was immature!!! At 1st i felt neglected, but then i enjoyed being different!!!</b> yup, same here, now its so cool to stand out and when ppl come up to u and ask why u wear hijab. |

| [slm] Ignore the world and let ppl accept u the way you are. Fashion is in the mind, i think its more fashionable 2 create your own ideas. I hate sheeps who follow trends;). One thing i hate about the summer is, its temping 2 go out with sleveless tops and all that, but then i wonder y should i let idiots see my flesh, :-)its really not worth it. I hate trousers, i stick 2 the long skirt and top with cardi's or a shirt. But i dont really care wat i wear cuz i tend 2 wear a long cardigan or jacket so ppl never see wat i am wearing on the top. ):(I often wear asian clothes 2, as in shalwar kameez, but these days they r getting very westernised and many r transparent, sleveless or very fitted):(. ;-DAny ways im babbling now so i betta buzz [wlm] Nehar |

| salam, pants, are fine, i wear girls pants. but i have to shop in the boy's section for shirts. lol. cuz all the clothes in the girls section are itty bitty :P |

| slm, heh.. just wait till high school ;-D but seriously.. if you just keep it halal and stand up for what you believe in, then wear what you want.. if the school objects, then tell em if all part of your belief and iz all good :) |

| slm, yeah some places they dont care what you wear. but others they may have strict dress codes... inour school for instance, all shirts have to be tucked in.. you can get a detentioon/saturday school for not doing it... i never do but i havent been caught yet alhamdulillah ;-D |

| slm, By da way Mahmoodah never wears proper uniform, (a Lilac shirt and grey pants, Hmmm), But i don't blame her, really the skool uniform was designed by a load of perverts! They prefer u to wear black trousers, n if there tooo baggy u get told off 4 not lookin smart:( I'm soooooo glad i'm outta skool:) Sr. slime if u hav a prob with the teachers ask ur parents to write in n complain, (i get away with murder in skool, 4 bein known to be sweet;)) w'salaam |

| the teachers dont dare to complain. hey, its a free country :) i go to a public school so as long as i dont wear anything 'revealing', they can't do a thing. muhahaha. |

| my school is public but its knowb as the "preppy school " lol the dress code is pretty strict but ive noticed only the "bad kinds" who have a rep with the admin really get caught often .. others do to but they only have so much control .... no bra steaps or undergarments can show and shirts with a plunging neckline are not allowed... they sometimes make people wear lost and found clothes ..... ewwwww!!! ne ways only one rule i dont really like .. no beach attire ... i dont mean my bathing suit ! u cant wear sandels if a teacher thinks they are meant for the beach :P like flippers .. no jk like sandels but in all i think the rules are good ... makes if a *bit * more confortable for the people who decide that clothes are to be worn to cover the body and a hankercheif IS NOT a shirt!! (or a skirt) |

| Why don't you just wear khimar and jilbab? no problems, you wont look like a boy. here secondary school is from 11-16. i went to a full uniform school, i only wore it up until the second year. after that i told teachers who asked, that it was too small and i couldn't be bothered to buy a new one. |
