Assalamu alaikum you's guys (I've found that many Albanyians say "you's guys" more often than "you guys").  Does anyone know a good place in or near the District to donate clothes/shoes/coats?  If not around here, how about a good place in NYC?

Wassalam,
Shahid.

Bismillah and salam,
sorry to barge in your town. But just a thought...if you want to get rid of clothes don't give to somene who will sell it back at poor people, just give it to them or the needy. Why not look up detox centers for teens? Or a battered women's shelter?

I guess I meant a place to donate clothes that is run for Muslims, but in any case I would rather donate them to  somewhere where they won't get sold again.  Awwwwlrighty then.

hmm u could wait for another sale that the mosque does.. but that might take a long time... as for reselling clothes.. true most of them do but at significantly less prices so that ppl can afford them.

Here in Binghamton- the prices of clothes at the Salvation Army is too high- deffinately not for the poor and needy!

I found another organization- that actually help people in need!

In my rich days I used to always donate my clothes to them. What an eye opener my life was when I found myself on the lower end of the standard of living!
