I came across this the other day--I don't know who the author is.

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

For sisters who think that they are not pretty enough.

My dear sisters, think.... Have you ever thought that you are not pretty enough? Do you feel inferior to other women whom you feel are prettier, than you? Do you feel jealous if a pretty and young woman comes near your husband (at work or outside)?

Have you ever wished you have a great figure and not so fat? Were you afraid that one day, your husband will secretly like another woman who is slimmer, younger and prettier than you?

We have to be educated and educate others about what beauty really means. Don't despair my dear sisters. You will always be beautiful in Allah's Eyes. Allah has made you perfect, free from deformaties and your features are in the right place. Some women may be tall, short, thin, fat, fair, dark, but each one of you are really beautiful inside. There is nothing to compare.

My dear sisters, let us look at the flower. The flower looks pretty at first. The colourful petals and fragrance can intoxicate many minds. By as the days go past, what happens? The flower slowly dries up. What initially was a beautiful flower has become old and brown. We sisters, are like the flowers. One day, we will all also grow old and wrinkled. We will lose our great figures. We will lose our hair,
teeth and supple skin. Nothing lasts forever. We may think, by then, we are ugly. Think again.

If you only judge beauty by external features, then you are indeed fooled. We spend hundreds of dollars on skincare products, beauty products and slimming programmes to beautify yourselves. Yet, how much money have you spent to beautify your heart? How long can the external beauty last?

After spending hundreds of dollars, you will still end up like the flower, old and wrinkled. Miss Universe, Miss World, models, movie actresses and every external beauty we have now, will return to dust, eaten by worms and creepy crawlers. Our skin will decompose, our muscles will rot, our bones will break down. We'll look like nothing but a rotten skeleton. Nothing can stop that.

However, if you spend your efforts to beautify your character, your beauty can outlast any flower, any movie star, any fashion model. Though your physical body has become dust under the grave, but your spiritual self will become beautiful and perfumed. You will be enlightened and your beauty shines throughout centuries.

Dear Sisters, do you know Allah will not look at your external features?  In Akhirat, Allah will not ask you what brand of shampoo you use, what skin products you spend on and how much slimming programmes to take up to assess your entry to Paradise.

Instead, He will ask you how much you are grateful to Him for all He has given, how you take great pains not to attract too much male attention, how much care you have put in to beautify your heart.

Dear Sisters, while you feel that men only look for external beauty, men too look for internal beauty. Men will not go for pretty women, but they are prostitutes or selfish or vain. Men will go for women who might be average looking but have a kind heart, peaceful and responsible. Only men who look for women who are physically beautiful (but worthless is other aspects) are in great loss. Such men are not suitable for you.
You deserve someone better.

After knowing all these, ask yourself. Do we have time to even feel inferior to other women who look like Miss Universe? Let us take this time to be thankful to Allah for all the He has given us.

You are special. Allah created you that way. You are beautiful. Don't compare yourself to others. No one can compare to you.

Let Allah be the judge for you, not you be the judge for yourself.

wassalam
