And one more thing "Salaam ale kum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barkatuh" is wrong way of giving salaam to any one. this is the article i'm sending you, "must read". i.e Assalam O Alaikum Bismillah Hir-Rahmaan Nir-Raheem Just wanted to share a little something about the Arabic language and the word Salaam. Sisters and Brothers PLEASE be careful when u use the word "Salaamz" by using this word we add the alphabet Z 'Zaal' at the end which changes the entire meaning of Salaam. Just as in Surah Fatiha we say " Sirat Al-lazeena AnamtA Alaihim" meaning "The way of those whom You have blessed" Where as if we just change the Anamta to Anamtu it Naudhobillah becomes "Whom I have blessed" So you see there is such a big difference Instead of refering Allah with Anamtu we start refering to ourselves!! The same is the matter with Kulb and Qalb. When we say "fee Quloobihim Maradha" with the heavy Qaaf sound from the upper part of the throat then this ayaah reads "In thier hearts is a desease" but ifwe say "kuloobihim" with the lighter kaaf sound then it naudhoobillah become "In thier dogs is a desease" There for Sisters and Brothers we MUST watch ourselves while using Arabic words specially the words of Allah, like Salaam. Also sometimes people say "SaamAlaikum" in a hurry or just habitually and Saam means "Death". So instead of greeting with peace we greet with death. PLEASE PLEASE be carefull and STOP the use of "Salaamz" JazakAllahu Khairun. Your sister in Islam ANSWER: In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers. What you have said is absolutely true. As with any language, if a letter or word is changed ever so slightly, there is always a chance of it changing the meaning of the sentence. And then the Quran are the very words of Allah Subhanah, and one must strive to recite them accurately and properly. But that does not mean that we stop saying the Islamic salutation of Peace to one another. If ones native language is not Arabic, and he makes a genuine mistake without the intention to twist the meanings of the word, Allah is All Merciful, All Forgiving. The Messenger of Allah (saws) said in an authentic narration: "All deeds will be judged (by Allah) according to one's intentions." Thus what is important in Islam is the intention, and that is what Allah will judge us by on the Day of Judgement. If someone deliberately changes the syllable or letter, and means to twist and turn the word to give it another meaning, then he will be severely accountable to Allah. But if person is trying to say the right words, but makes an error unintentionally, then Insha Allah, he will find our Lord Forgiving and Merciful. It is a fundamental right of every muslim that when he meets his brother, he must proclaim the salutation of peace as taught by Allah and His Messenger (saws). Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah's Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
