Treaties - web site

Okay, I know this might be a bit of a stab in the dark but not too long ago I found a web site that listed lots (all?) of the treaties entered into by the Prophet[saw] and the texts of those treaties.

Of course, I now can't remember for the life of me where it was.

Any ideas?

Okay, for those of you who are interested (clearly nobody if the amount of replies is anything to go by), I think that this is the one.

Has anyone come across it before or know anything about it?

{Spooky silence ensues for the second time, sound of tumbleweed drifting by, etc.}

Islamic Scholar isn't bad, but I think Win Alim is much better.

They have Tumbleweed in the UK? ???

Haaris, this is some pretty neat stuff man.  Especially the letters.  Some things are very noticeable.  Look at how short the writings are.  To the point.  Concise.  Straightforward.  No beating around the bush.  No rambling.  No unnecessary praise for the recipient, no matter how royal he may be.

Remember that most of these letters were written at a time when Islam was fighting its way up, and was not even regarded as a threat by most people of power.  At times like these, where a Muslim was even fighting to be able to pray at the Ka'bah, look at the confidence with which Rasulullah [saw] talks to the unbelieving kings.  His reality is so different from ours.  It's as if he's living in a different time, at a different place, where Islam is supreme, and that is the only reality.  He speaks like this king, who knows he's right, who knows he'll be victorious.  The confidence.  The awe and majesty in his writings.  He truly was "ashiddaa'u alal kuffar" ...

May peace be on him who follows the guidance. It may be clarified that my deen (faith) shall reach the boundaries of the entire Arabia and Iran and shall prevail. Therefore you should accept Islam. There in lies security.

I have nothing to do with your country. It shall, as before, remain under your jurisdiction.

Allahumma Salli 3alaa sayyidinaa MuHammad, wa 3alaa aalihi wasaHbihee wa sallam.

I've no idea how I found the site in the first place!  But they certainly are interesting and seem, as you say Br. Arsalan, to give us an insight into the manner in which the Prophet [saw] dealt with people.

Does anyone have any info on the CDs "Islamic Scholar" and "Win Alim" please?

Jazak Allah Khairun

And no, we don't have tumbleweed in the UK.  But we do have western movies and old Warner Brothers cartoons (Road Runner, Daffy Duck, etc.) that use that old gag ...
