Assalamu Alaykum,

Does anyone know where to find the hadith used in Salat-ul-Jumuah,
the best speech is the book of Allah, the best way is the way of Muhammad (saws)...

Im trying to find a citation for it, and the version in arabic online.

Jazak Allah Khair

Wa Salamu Alaykum

wa alaykum as salaam wa rahmatAllah,

ok this is what I found with a search engine:

[*] "...the best narrative is the Book of Allah, and the best Guidance is the Guidance of Muhammad..." --- Bukhari

[*] "the best word is the Book of Allah and the best guidance is the Guidance of Muhammad. And the worst things are heresies (those new elements introduced into the religion) and whatever you have been promised will surely come to pass, and you cannot frustrate it." --- Bukhari

[*] "...the best word is the Book of Allah, and the best way is the way of Muhammad and the foulest thing is fabrication and every fabrication is departure from the straightway.” --- Muslim

[*] "The best word is the Book of Allah, and the best guidance is the guidance shown by Muhammad. The worst practice is the introduction of new elements in the Islamic faith and every innovation amounts to heresy." --- Muslim (Hadith # 170, Riyad Al-Saleheen)

[*] "Verily the most truthful communication is the Book of Allah, the best guidance is from Muhammad, and the worst of all things are innovations; every innovation is heresy, every heresy is error, and every error leads to hell." --- An Nasaa'i

This has the Arabic and the English of what the khatib usually says (I don't know why it says marriage/'sermon of need' on the page though..)

take care :)

wasalaamu alaykum.
