| Assalamu 'alaikum I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping you all could help me with -- 1. I have a free flowing skirt but it only goes to the middle of my calf. I know that we are only to leave our hands and face uncovered but if I wear knee high boots under this skirt would it be permissible to wear? 2. Are there any websites that show the different styles on how to wear the hijab? If you could provide an answer to this next question reasonably soon it would be very helpful -- 3. Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to move out of state by herself with no male companion? What if she has no male relatives? Thanks for any answers you can provide. Cindy |

| Assalam'alaykum, Macha'Allah, Cindy, I didn't know you had become muslim. Alhamdulillah. As for the skirt: if that's all you have for the moment, I guess it's okay to wear it until you can find a longer skirt. It seems to me that your intention is very sincere. Also, if you have large pants that you can wear with a long blouse on top, that could do too. May Allah keep you on the straight path. Ameen. About your sister: may Allah cure her! Please, try to give her as much support as you can. Even if she refuses to see you, just go at the hospital, I'm sure she will be happy. Please keep us updated. wassalam |

| slm, i checked out the scarf styles but couldn't find ne different style dat i havn't seen;) but mash'allah their still really good:) ne ways Sr. Cindy, i also din know u reverted:) Mash'allah:):):) any ways abt the skirt, i don't know if its wrong, but if u can see ur legs or the shape of ur legs i'm more or less sure it's wrong I don't think its wrong to travel without a mehram man (but islamically speaking i know u should) sum 1 please correct me if i'm wrong:) take care, w'salaam |
