| Kawthar is the fountain where the believers are served the drink by Holy Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) . For the believers, to meet the 'Holy Prophet' (who is more dearer than their own selves) is more joyful than entering the Paradise. Love of Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam precedes all other objects of desire for a believer. Try referring Sura al Kawthar in Holy Quran to know more about the fountain Kawthar. :) |

| [slm] jaihoon, jazakallah khair for this post. I had only heard vaguely about the fountain kawthar until you mentioned it here. Thats why I love coming here, theres always something new, truely inspiring for readers, expanding their understanding further. Reading more about it just shows the vast treasures Allah has prepared for those who follow His path making us struggle even more. The tougher the struggle, the higher the price. | A l - H a w d The Pool of the Prophet [saw] [i]the thirst of those who do not drink from it will never be quenched...[/i] The source of Al-Hawd is Al-Kawthar. This is the Pool which Allah (SWT) will grant the Prophet (peace be upon him) as an honor to quench the thirst of his Ummah on the Day Of Judgement. This pure drink will refresh those who have just crossed the Seerat before entering the Garden. Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey, its drinking vessels as numerous as the stars, and its length a (travel for) a month and its width a (travel for) a month. Whoever drinks from it will never thirst again. The Pool will appear before all, shimmering and shinning with light. The bottom of the Pool and it's banks are not of mud or earth, nor of sand or pebbles. The water flows over gems. It flows over pearls and coral, rubies and emeralds, gold and silver. The water of the Pool is whiter than milk, colder than snow, sweeter than honey. It's fragrance is sweeter than musk and amber. The thirsty souls will yearn for a drink of water and people will hasten to the Pool, but they will find someone already there before them who will call them and invite them to drink. They will be amazed and astonished. They will see him clearly right in front of them. They will meet him face to face. It is Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him! The cries will go up: "O beloved! O beloved! O Muhammad! O beloved of Allah!" Tears of joy will flow down their cheeks.
