| Assalamualaikum wrt wbk! hmm, I posted my *first* post yesterday, so I suppose I can't get on the soap-box and proclaim this to be my first post, BUT I AM a new-comer =) and someone clued me in that I had to intro myself at the Bebzi Stand..and sooo here I am! (I have to fess up and tell ya that I'm more of a Sunkist type bachi) Anywho, My name's Somaira Altaf, I'm from CT....(Connecticut for those who've forgotten their geography class lessons). I'm a soph. in college..majoring in poli sci/english. Let's see..vhut else can I tell ya? I just finished interning with Senator Lieberman, and am officially on SUMMER BREAK (ie sleeping late, sleeping some more? and then catchin up on some more sleep...) I'll have to admit I was a bit skeptical to joining at first but i checked out all of your past subjects, some had me rofl..<well not rollin on the floor...but..almost there...> Others got me thinking.. | slm, welcome aboard! the intro part isnt mandatory but i mentioned it cause its like customary here and it helps get everyone better acquainted with one another... its one of the truly unique things about this community, mashallah :) anyhow, enjoy your stay here and great to have you aboard ;) - the welcoming wagon ;-D |

| [slm] Welcome somaira! hehe, i knew I would get you addicted to the board! Isn't it great? Such beautifully written posts mashallah and always a sprinkle of humour when you need it :) One of the truly wonderful things on this board is the *kindness* extended toward everyone on here. It reminds me of what Sheikh Abdullah Adhami said about how the Prophet [saw] was all about kindness especially between a husband and wife. ok, but now i'm rambling, hehe, i listened to one of his tapes on the way back from CT-they're very good mashallah!
