Any predictions for the season?  There's been so many changes in the various teams that it's hard to keep up who is where now, and which team fares how well against the elite out there.

I have a Final Four prediction!

Already :)

Might be a bold statement for some of you, I know.

But I'm fond of making bold statements :)

So the prediction ...

Here it is ...

From the West:

San Antonio Spurs
  &
Los Angeles Lakers

From the East:

Philadelphia 76ers
  &
Toronto Raptors

... and Jordan ain't coming back!

And now the ultimate prediction ...

The 2002 World Champions ...

The Toronto Raptors!!!  (insha Allah)

That's right.  You heard it here first :)

P.S. These predictions have been made considering the most recent trades, the performances of the teams during the last season (including playoffs as well as regular season), and the new rule changes.  Any comments? :)
The San Antonio wHo?  The tOronTo wHAt?

From the West it will be the Los Angeles Lakers, and it won't even be close.  As for the San Antonio spurs, they'll be lucky to make it to the the finals of the western conference.  They have already lost some key players, and i think their team is worse then last year's teams when they were utterly humiliated by the Lakers by an average of 20+ points.  The Lakers picked up Mitch Richmond and Samaki Walker in the off seas and those guys are good.

As for the east in the finals I think it will be Orlando and the Raptors with Orlando advancing to the finals only to be humiliated by the Lakers.

As long as Shaq and Kobe are healthy the Lakers can't be stopped.

Even after last season you totally IGNORE the 76ers! Insha'Allah, come bball season, Philly will have become my home town, and I'm gonna be at all the games rooting for them! Insha'Allah! I'll also root for the Raptors.  Insha'Allah Hakeem will dominate, and he will remain healthy. Ameen.

As for the Lakers, I hope Shaq decides to pursue his ever-rising acting and singing career!  :):)  Infact, to encourage it, I say we all go out and rent 5 copies of his HUGE blockbuster...SHAZAM! or KAZAM! (I can't remember)  Then we can stop by the record store and ask them to kindly search through their dusty back shelves for his latest CD.  That ought to boost record sales.
As for Kobe--he's nothing without his partner in crime.

:)

Take Care,
Wassalam,

The 76ers?  Who are they?

The 76ers?  Oh you mean the team that was swept at home by the World Champion Lakers, the team that lost 4 in a row to the World Champion Lakers.  You're talking about those 76ers?  ;)

I suppose they will make the playoffs (maybe), but won't make it to the finals.  It was nice of you and Princess to admit defeat when your team lost,  I applaud your sportsmanship (even though it must have been difficult, and I mean really, really difficult).   Who knows, maybe in a few years they'll get another chance at the championship and you can cheer them on. :)
