As Salaam U Alaikum,

If I'm not mistaken, it's required that you have 16 hours behind the wheel...   Talk to your instructor, or whom is teaching you...  After you have had this amount of time/ training behind the wheel, you should feel pretty confident and know quite a bit about driving. (if Allah wills)

If you are being taught by friend or family, encourage them to take you around several times, so you can comprehend the feel and road... I tutored my neice and fellow muslim sister, and covered almost everything several times, until they began to understand why I had them repeat their moves...   Ask questions.  I encouraged and talked to them through everything...

Again... Have them encourage you through every move..

Good luck and As Salaam U Alaikum!! :)

Denise... ;)

Jazaakullah'khair brother for your reply!

My older bro is teaching me, very impatient! Expects me to know eveything! I think he's just an aweful teacher! I wanna get the hang of being able to reverse, change gears, etc etc before going onto the road!

I feel really anxious when behind the wheel! But inshallah i'll get the hang of it!

Reading your post you seemed to know a lot about driving so i must have assumed it could only have been a man as no women would know THAT much about driving! Sorry!

As Salaam U Alaikum, Mujaahid...

Woman are teachers.. My mother taught me how to change a tire... I know how to change and put in a new battery, and other tasks that men are known to do, and many other things... My mother taught my brother's, even the ones who aren't her son's how to cook..  My sister encouraged me into Islam 20 years ago,  but my father (may Allah have mercy on him) set an example as to what I look for in a muslim husband..

No harm done, my dear... Apology has been accepted...  I pray Allah reward you with many beautiful blessings...
