assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah

There are so many people i'd like to meet. However, i'm not going to list the name of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, or his sahaba because these are people that we'd all like to meet by default and should always come at the top of our list.

My list would include:
- Ahmed Ibn Taymiyyah. One Shaikh described his knowledge as an ocean wave before which you couldn't stand, and a person whose mind was too great for his pen. Can you imagine being in his study circles? Wow!
- Salah ad-Deen al-Ayyubi. Do i need to explain why?
- Commander Ibn al-Khattab (Chechnya) - a living hero, and an inspiration to every brother insha'llah.
- Commander Abu Abdul Aziz (Bosnia) - *smile*
- Sr. Zaynab al-Ghazali - i don't know what i would say to sister Zaynab.. i think i would just be in awe of meeting such a person.
- Malcolm X
- Sh. Ja'far Idris. May Allah give him a long life and help us to benefit from his knowledge. Although, i've met him before (only two weeks ago in fact), i always look forward to seeing him again. He is a person with lots of knowledge and great insight into the affairs of Muslims in the West.

salam,

Yes the Prophet (pbuh) and the sahaba..with the exception of Umar (ra) I think I would be kind of afraid to meet him. ^_^.

Among other Prophets I would love to meet:

-Yusuf
-Musa
-Dawood and Solayman

Peace be upon them all..

Br Kashif already mentioned many others I would love to meet

-Salah Al Din being the first one. I have a deep admiration for this man.
-Zaynab Al Ghazali (my friend met her..she's so lucky ^_^)
-Hasan Al Banna and Sayyed Qutb
-Sh. Yusuf Al Qaradawi

I'm sure there are others I would like to meet but at the moment they have slipped from my mind.

Assalam-u-Alaikum,

As bro. Kashif said The Prophet (SAW) and his companions are on the list by default.

Nowadays I would really and truly love to see Commander Khattab and Shamil Basayev in Chehcnya simply because they are my living heroes.  Sheikh Ibn Al-Qayyim Al Jawzee would be a blast to meet... you could learn a lot from this person about how not to waste time.

Anyway, from the board I'd love to meet any single one of you (I really would so that includes *YOU*!). I've already met Arsalan, Al-Hamdulillah, but unfortunately didn't get a chance to shoot some hoops .  I'd like to meet meraj coz he's whack and I get this feeling (at least from his posts) that him and me could get along really well (he's also my age).  I'd like to meet Kashif for his insight and a cool name (yo Kash 'sup! hehe), Arshad for body building tips and a some unreal tourney battles, and BrKhalid to wish him a happy wedding.

Jazzakum ullah Khair all of you for the hippest place on the net.

Wassalam-u-Alaikum,
Uzer

I have been thinking about this post for a couple of days.

It has me thinking about Prophet Muhammad pbuh. I don't think I would be good enough to meet him... kind of like I have to much improving to do to be "worthy" of his presence.

Does anyone understand me?

Yes, I do.

Please do not under-estimate yourself. Love our beloved Prophet [saw] wholeheartedly and sincerely, and demostrate that love in practical terms by following his teachings, learned through authentic sources. Also, please recite Salawat on him abundantly. Insha Allah, you will then be able have his company.

May Allah Almighty grant us all that blessing.

wlm,

I was thinking last night.. I would like to meet Muhammad Asad...

The thought of meeting any sahabah or sahabiyat, let alone the prophet [saw] is a terrifying thought to me. I remember when we were in Madina in front of the Jannatul Baqi' and the imam said ppl can make dua to be raised up here on the day of judgement no matter where we died or are buried. he said so many ppl all over the world wish so much to come here to die and be so lucky as to be buried here, to be raised up among these amazing people. it is the first place the prophet saw will come on the day of Rising. and i was thinking... imagine if i woke up on the day of judgement and was standing next to A'isha or someone, and then everyone would introduce themselves to their neighbors.. i would say "salam, who are you" and she would say politely, expecting someone great as are all the ppl in jannatul baqi, "i am aisha.. who are you?"... what would i say to that??? i mean those were such great people of islam, who sacrificed so much, had literally nothing, devoted their entire lives and beings to islam and changed the surface of the earth. then what would i say... i'm really just a nobody in comparison, someone who lived 1400 years after...how can we meet ppl like that?? what would we say??

Assalamu alaikum,
In all honesty I don't really think it was him because he denied it and I tend to believe that.  However, I don't think he's a "true" Muslim at all because he HAS committed other serious crimes where innocent people died, and I also don't believe Islam was revealed to teach us to hate America and to make our life mission destroying it.  The way I see it, of he really wants to be a martyr, why doesn't he turn himself in right now and save Afghanistan a whole lot of grief.

salaamz.

you said osama bin laden should turn himself in...turn himself in for sumthing he didn't do??? you said yourself that you believe he didn't do it...
another thing, you said he ain't a "true" muslim cuz he committed ohter crimes where innocent people died. if you're referring to the twin embassies then i'd just like to let tell you, incase you don't know, that nobody *still* hasn't got any SOLID PROOF that he did it, america still say that he is a PRIME SUSPECT (or sumthin along those lines). ok, i say all this in the greatest of respect ;-D hope no one takes offence :) and if i've said anything wrong, its from me...and if i've said anythin right (insha allah) its all from Allah (swt) :)

I'm not aware of ANY serious crimes that he has committed, he has just been labeled a suspect in some crimes, but there has never been proof saying that he is responsible.  And with the Taliban we see that they have been requesting from the US to provide proof, but there has been no response.  As for bin Laddin being turned over to the authorities, the US said they would still launch their attacks.

If there is evidence it needs to be brought forth out into the open not withheld so that the criminals that committed this crime can be brought to justice.

One of the most astounding things i find is how people don't understand that the Taliban are in the right so far. What they've said is give us your proof against b. Laden so that we can consider your request for his extradition. The US have *refused* to provide this evidence point blank and still insist that he is guilty.

Isn't it clear who is in the right and who is in the wrong?

You know what I think??
I think there is no BinLaden,it is only the hook(we call it mismar juha)where they all hang their stupid mistakes and then give themselves the right to kill more Muslims, but Allah will show them,I really wish they go inside Afghanistan and get all killed by the mines(a million) that have been planted by the Russians.
