| slm Just thought I would share this: Every year I send a letter to the teacher of my son, explaining a bit about him as a Muslim and his needs in a public school system. I have posted this letter on the board- with many of you helping. For the past three years I have gotten no response. Yesterday, I got an appreciative thank you card from the teacher for the letter- with an attachment of her lesson plan for the week- for my approval. Yippee! Al-humdulliallah! Insha Allah- I may be finally breaking thru. There was one question the PTA president and a 5th grade teacher asked. It was about prayers. I had written that my son would have to pray in school after the time change. They had never heard about this before- and have had many Muslims in their classes. Sigh... |
