ININ Note DFLP has denied all involvement in this inicdent) Two terrorist attacks have been reported in both Washington and New York on the evening of 11 September 2001 (EST). The World Trade Centre in New York was subject to a suicide attack by three planes believed to be hijacked from Boston. At least one of the planes was an American Airlines jet. The World Trade Centre was full of office workers. George W Bush says he will "hunt down" those responsible. Initial reports suggested that the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP, a socialist organisation based in the West Bank) is responsible. Is this all going to be a repeat of Oklahoma? Are Muslims going to be targeted again? Will mosques be attacked? Will Muslim women looking after their children at home have their windows and doors smashed and set fire to by mobs? Will there be mass-arrests? Will Muslims be detained without trial? Will confessions be extracted in suspicious circumstances? Will the hypocritical Muslims, the Emad Salems, be paid millions to tell lies against Muslim leaders in American court rooms? Will mercenary pseudo-academics and pseudo-journalists, the Martin Kramers and the Stephen Emersons, raise their hate-filled voices in a chorus of islamophobia? Will Daniel Pipes play the pipes of war and hatred against the Muslim world in general and the Muslims of America in particular? Will media hysteria reach such a stage that the all Muslims are put on trial by a corrupted fourth estate? Will mercenary 'think tanks' sprout conspiracy theories linking the attacks to Teheran, the Taliban, Ossama bin Ladin, the imam from Rooty Hill Mosque and that overweight Turkish/Indian solicitor from Auburn? I can see newspapers and magazines blurting out news of an "international islamic fundamentalist extremist conspiracy to destroy the west". I can see the Daily Telegraph printing articles by various persons infatuated with a certain non-Arab country in the Middle East. I can see my mother being run off the road just because she covers her hair. I can see brothers with beards being harassed at work. I can see our Prime Minister introducing 'anti-terrorist' legislation to close down mosques, schools etc. I can see American war bombs going off in Kabul, Kandahar and other parts of Afghanistan. Worst of all, I can see the American Muslims. The black reverts, hispanic and latin reverts, white American reverts and other Muslims. All targetted. All regarded as terrorists. All at the mercy of a nation whose public opinion is largely ruled by those with more loyalty to the "Jewish" state than to the American dream. I can see the American dream turning into a nightmare for millions of Americans who choose to worship Allah and love His Messenger. I can see harmless scholars like Hamza Yusuf and Zaid Shakir taken in for questioning. Worse, I can see hypocritical pseudo-shaykhs like that fool from Italy "Pallazzi" claiming that it is "wahhabi extremists dominating American Muslim institutions" who are to blame. They will be paraded and championed by the slaves of Israel as the balwarks against "islamic extremism". Pity the American Muslim. There are tough times ahead for him/her. Muslims, undoubtably, died it todays attacks. American Muslims will, again, be made to suffer for the actions of others. |
