List of injured , missing Pakistanis in US released

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Mission in New York has released a list
of injured and missing Pakistanis in Tuesday's terrorist
strikes in Washington and New York.

In a message received here Monday from New York, the
Consulate General of Pakistan Muhammad Hafeez feared death
of more than one hundred Pakistanis working at the
collapsed World Trade Centre.

He said it is hard to tell the exact number of Pakistani
causalities in the terrorist strikes, however added that
according to different sources at least thirty-five
Pakistanis are injured or missing.

The Consulate General said an estimated number of about one
thousand to twelve thousand Pakistanis were among the fifty
thousand people working at the World Trade Centre, majority
of them at the ground floor or the first third stories in
the shopping mall or restaurant.

Following are the names of injured persons; Muhammad Abbas,
Ahmed Ahsan, Amjad, Amena Aziz, Muhammad Chaudhry, Muhammad
Haleem, Juma Haq, Sultana Khanam, Sultana Khan, Pervez
Khanzada , Ahmed Noor , Raza Mujtaba, Sufal Niak, Sofia
Niak and Syed Haq.

The Mission has also released a list of twenty missing
Pakistanis.

They are; Tariq Amanullah , Yousuf Saad, Samad Afridi,
Badaruddin Lakhani, Taranum Rahim, Taimur Khan, Mujeeb
Qazi, Naveed Rehman, Umar Malik , Umar Namos , Jameel
Swati, Sanober Syyed , Asad Samir, Arshad Khan Khakwani,
Ahtasham U.Raja, Salman Hamdani, Khalid Shahid, Boyie
Muhammad , Farnaz Chaudhry and Naseema Sumjee.

The Counulate General further said that Pakistani community
is actively engaged in the relief work with the local
people.
