Does punishment in Grave suffice for Hell?

Heres a question thats been bugging me for a while. Don't laugh but here goes...
Would 2 people with equal in weight of sins but lived few 100s yrs apart spend the same time in Hell? The person dying before would have spent more time in bazarkh, thus facing more punishment while the other would have faced less. Thus would the former face less punishment in Hell? :o
I know theres a lot of complexities involved here, for example, sin commited etc but suppose both were the same.
All in all, does time in the bazarkh suffice for punishment in Hell?

:o

what is time anyway? isn't it relative? people will be asked on the Day of J.. how long did you spend on earth.. they'll say, it was a day or part of a day.. and then the Day of J itself is described as 1000 years...and then the crossing the sirat will be in the blink of an eye for some... so time in the barzakh.. what does that mean... you and me out here experience time, but it is relative to us..the barzakh.. is a place beyond our four dimensional world... read Hyperspace.. the book will freak you out..scientists show evidence that everything is relative.. that there are multi-multi dimensions beyond our own...

so how can we use time here to compare it to "time" in the barzakh... weird...

assalaamu alaikum

Good post jannah, but isn't the D/Judgement supposed to be 50,000 years long?

Anyhow, in broad terms regarding the punishment after death i was taught that it all depends on the weight of your sins. Some people will have a number of sins which causes them to be punished in the grave, but by the time the D/Judgment is established they will have already paid the price in punishment for their sins and won't have to be throw in the Fire.

Others will have so many sins that punishment in the grave won't be sufficient to purify them of their sins, and so they will be in the Fire for a time until they too have paid the price of their disobedience to Allah and then afterwards they will be taken to Paradise.

And others who engaged in shirk, neither the punishment in the grave or the Fire will purify them of their sin.

May Allah remove from us the punishment in the Hereafter and give us an Easy reckoning. Us and our families. Ameen.
