Asslamu Alaikum, I'm looking for articles about Islam and Socialism..I know there are a few books about this subject but I'm looking for articles (good ones). Also I am looking for articles about Islam's response and point of view to various other western political philosophies. Any help would be greatly appreciated. JAK, salam, merimda

Salam, This thread was swept into the second page so quickly before anyone even responded. Can no one help me? I'm looking for articles, essays, even a chapter from a book, on Islam and Socialism. As for Islam and other political philosophies I'm looking for anything, even a book. Does anyone know of any book that compares and contrasts Islamic political thought with those of Plato, Aristotle, Hobbes, Locke and various other non-Muslim political theorists. I would greatly appreciate any help JAK salam, merimda

wa alaykum as salaam wa rahmatAllah, I've been surfing for articles like the ones you were looking for, but I can't seem to find any specifically on Islam and socialism. Doing a search though I came across a book:  Capitalism, Socialism & Islam by Maududi (for three bucks!) at [url=http://www.halalco.com/otherideol.html]Halalco[/url].  (If you scroll down, you should see it right on that page) Hope I've been of help inshaAllah :) take care wasalaamu alaykum.
