slm Is anyone here studying or studied in traditional Islamic schools in the Muslim world (Africa, Arabia?) I need info on costs, study and how to go there? I have read and heard alot about how zaytuna sends students to mauritania and syria, but is there someone who has actually been there, i have tons of questions! wlm ahmer |

Asslam Alaikum! In Malaysian state of Kelantan, there is a religious school where the students and teachers live in small huts. Nothing else is provided. They have to do their own cooking etc. It is like living in a small village of lots of 'tiny huts'. They stay there for as long as it takes to graduate and then a new group gets in. The cost I am sure would be minimal. ;) Well, if thats what you meant by traditional.
