| "Operation Enduring Freedom?" Like diligent spiders they Kept spinning the flimsiest Webs How meticulously they plotted to Spin their lies, How judiciously they convinced Us of the lowliness Of helpless insects And flies… So caught up in their own Snares of demise So jubilant with their simulations They became mesmerized Eyes shut wide to the eagles Soaring eternal melodies in the Selfsame skies. Like sorcerers tales they Concocted their Sordid designs Setting up platforms to glitter Counterfeit for all eyes How predictably they wrapped Hypothesis with colorful Ties How ridiculously bogus Their disguise So enchanted with their illusions They became obtuse Reality never fails to take them By surprise They claim intellect yet how Can they be wise? When they dug their own foundations And did not see what underneath the Surface lies. They claim compassion yet how can they Spit out contorted rhetoric with such Empty eyes? Dead hearts shackled with wretchedness they Seek to terrorize. Our survival co-opted our own Demise, Blood spilling generations for no reason or Rhyme We kept trailing tears nurturing The earth And like dust In infinite colors We continued to rise. Confounded they furiously schemed, "We have to end this tide!!!!" In their wickedness so blind, So blind We endured silently The Truth Will forever not hide They cried and cried and claimed God to be on their side Yet how could they not see Beneath the rags, dust, sweat And tears, We were simply veiling from Weakened eyes A dazzling glare of His Spirit Divine? -Maliha. |
