Last week, according to a major west coast radio talk show host, Michael Savage, the Eid Stamp is actually the "Die" Stamp when Eid is spelled backwards. He went on the air with this statement after the criminal acts in New York and Washington.

The Eid stamp is an important stepping stone for the establishment of Islam in this country, and we must not let people like Michael Savage and others denigrate it. According to the US Postal Office, if the Eid Stamp is re-issued THREE times, it then becomes a PERMANENT part of the United States Holiday Collection.  For this to happen, we must ask for the Eid stamp each time you go to the post office. Some Post Offices will claim they do not have it on stock.  Often, it is because nobody has requested for the stamp, and it is in the back, and not yet unpacked.

The Jewish Hanukkah stamp has been re-issued three times, and is now part of the permanent US Stamp Collection.  There is no reason why our Eid stamp--in spite of Michael Savage--cannot become permanent too.

For your information, the Eid stamp had one of the most successful launches in US Postal Stamp History on its first day.  Jazak Allah khair, and please forward this request to as many other brothers and sisters as possible.
