they cared more about statues...

Bismillah and salam,

I wonder how many non-muslims are wondering why the international community gave more care to stones/statues than they are to people of Afghanistan where the statues were?

No one was even using these statues as a religous symbol there. Any governemnt in the world would be able to do what they please with their cultural sites, except for the muslim one right.

It seems obvious to me that OUR religion IS under attack. Why aren't they addressing the issue of their presence in Saudi Arabia? That WAS and IS a land still used and considered holy by muslims. Or is their concern conditional? based on what does it become a concern exactly??

They are only there for thier own interest. As the american analyst who once said if kuwait grew carrots they wouldn't be there. They told us Saddam was a horrible dicatator, which he is, among many other people as well. But why haven't they got rid of him then? it suits them to have him alive, to keep getting paid for protecting the surrounding area.  But ofcourse they say they can and will find a way to get rid of bin laden wanted dead, or alive to be killed.

It frustrates me so much the naivety of ordinary people gobbling up media and political lies.

I think they Israel was afraid that Afghanistan would have no opposition and join up with pakistan, which has nuc's and so they felt it too much power for Islam.
