FAIR (Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting) presents

"Media March to War:
Coverage of the terrorist attacks & U.S. retaliation,"

a talk by Janine Jackson, FAIR
& Rick MacArthur, Harper's Magazine.

Thursday, October 18, 6:30 PM
Housing Works Used Book Café
126 Crosby St (between Prince and Houston), New York
Free and Open to the Public

Since the September 11 terrorist attacks and the start of U.S. military
retaliation, issues of media distortion and press freedom have taken on new
urgency. Please join FAIR as we try to cut through mainstream media spin on
a variety of issues: Afghanistan, the U.S. role in the Middle East and
Central Asia, civil liberties here at home, and more.

Janine Jackson is FAIR's program director and co-host of FAIR's weekly radio
show, "CounterSpin," which is heard on over 130 stations across the country.

Rick MacArthur is publisher of Harper's Magazine and author of the book
"Second Front: Censorship and Propaganda in the Gulf War."
